Artist Stephen Boren

I am inspired by the mountains and the immense feeling of freedom, adventure, and expression the outdoors gives me. My passions for snowboarding, mountain biking, and watercolor art are all shaped by the mountains during every season. I look forward to working with you in providing a new piece to your home or space to expresses your own passion, your loved ones, or the outdoors.

Stephen Boren Bio

Art runs in Stephen’s veins. Son of western artist Nelson Boren, Stephen was exposed to art at a very early age. Originally from Sandpoint, Idaho Stephen credits his father as his earliest artistic influence and teaching him to play in the outdoors. Growing up with his father’s studio on the property allowed Stephen to spend time developing his talent. He had the opportunity to work with his dad for a few months before serving an LDS mission in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After serving he returned to Rexburg Idaho where he continued his education in Construction Management. He met his wife Rosie and after getting married they moved to Sandy, UT.

A few years into their marriage Rosie encouraged Stephen to start painting again. Over the next several years as Stephen ran a construction company, he produced a few paintings a year. After years of developing and honing his watercolor craft he now focused on recreational outdoor art full time. Being able to find inspiration in something he loves doing, has been a great joy.

Stephen and Rosie now live in Liberty, Utah on a small farm with their four kids. Stephen’s studio is on the property in the loft of a 100-year-old barn. Stephen's work focuses on outdoor art with bright vibrant colors and lots of texture. He loves sharing his talent and love for the outdoors with his clients. When he isn’t working his greatest joy he is taking his kids out to enjoy mountain biking and snowboarding.
